Hello! My name is Andrea and I am a male Ontario College of Teachers certified elementary level teacher with a passion for teaching all subjects. I am driven and committed to improving not only your child's marks, but also their long-term learning in a meaningful way. My areas of expertise include History, Social Studies, and all those related to Literacy (reading, writing, essay, etc.).

I have also worked for two years as a special education teacher, specifically helping students who are struggling learners. I have particular experience with students who have IEPs (identified with learning disabilities, for example).

My professional experience with a provincial heritage organization gives me a unique ability to use creative and engaging lessons to get your child excited about history and social studies.

My academic experience with the University of Toronto and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) provides me with a strong and solid foundation for delivering curriculum-based one-on-one support to improve student learning and increase their academic success.

My outgoing and friendly personality gives me an edge over other tutors - I strive to make lessons FUN, engaging and interesting, making real-life connections to keep children engaged.

I prefer to work in the Stouffville and Markham area, but can also travel to Aurora, Newmarket, and Richmond Hill. I can meet at the local library or in your home or in my home - the choice is yours.
