Hello,

I am currently a PhD student studying animal at UBC with extensive experience in biology, statistics, writing, labs, and field work. I led laboratories and assisted students with homework and exam preparation as a TA for a 300-level Animal Physiology and an introductory marine biology course. I’ve also done tutoring for introductory statistics.

I focus on big picture connections in relating several topics. I’m very organized and use daily tasks to build up to long-term exam preparation. I believe that it is important for students to understand why a topic is relevant. For example, calculus integrals are used to calculate population trends of endangered species. I have excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by presentations at scientific conferences and articles in published journals.

Education: B.A. Biology, Occidental College (2006), MSc Zoology, UBC (2010), Currently at PhD candidate in Zoology at UBC/Deakin University. Transcripts available upon request.

GPA: Highschool=4.1, B.A=3.14, MSc=4.0
