I have a D.E.C. in Social Sciences, which applies to self-esteem building, and an Interdisciplinary B.A. (Simon Fraser University)with a by in English, as well as an LPI level 6 from U.B.C..My method for tutoring is to build the student's self-esteem and trust up to a level that permits academic growth. I tend to employ a humorous approach, but also concentrate on detecting and pin-pointing study habit and grammar weaknesses early enough so they can be eliminated. Starting with a comprehensive free eight(8)-part assessment covering reading (pronunciation, comprehension),then analyzing a writing sample for the student's grammar chart, as well as quizzing on vocabulary and F.O.S., I then compile the results as lesson plans for the student's sessions. Although International high school pupils have mainly been my clients, some elementary be accepted . Listening, studying cognition, and observing non-verbal behaviour is additionally an area I have trained in, since my B.A. minor was in psychology. I also majored in criminology and studied political economics, so Michael Cranny's textbooks for the B.C. curriculum are very familiar to me.
